Hi Dick, this is Cynthia from the August beginner gardening class. I have a question on leaves for the garden. I don't have trees that will give me enough leaves, really 1 lonely tree. So a friend has offered me his oak leaves and he says they have St. Augstine grass (like me). I know you said to be careful of mulch/leaves with Bermuda grass in them. Would St. Augstine cause a problem (I know I can't be 100% sure that no grass clippings would be in the bags). Also, you mentioned that would could get with you if we wanted some straw. Let me know. Thanks. I really enjoyed the class and I went home on Saturday (after the last class) and put up hoops on all 3 of my beds and today hopefully natural gardener will have the shade cloth in (they ran out)
I heard the permie group came by the Fonda San Miguel Garden a month or so ago. Drop me a line next time and I can meet y'all to show you around. scott@bluegreenproject.com
Hi Dick,
I found out about the class in the edible austin magazine and it sounds fun. My boyfriend and I are both interested in participating in the January Victory Garden class. What do we need to do to sign up for it?
Thanks,
Liz Young
